Thank you Baron...for the gift! If only I had a truck to adhere it to...I will keep it for future use in the event the unthinkable should actually come to pass. Pardon me for bringing politics to the blog, but I received this thoughtful gift (pictured above) in the mail today and thought this the appropriate forum to express my thanks to the sender.

Fear not Mr. Woodcock. Declaration of the truth is never out of style. When my sophomore daughter recently remarked to me that the underlying themes of Orwell’s 1984 didn’t ring true, I could not have been more encouraged. To learn why no Government can be smarter than the governed, I refer you Leonard E. Read's seminal essay “I, Pencil".
Brilliant! Perhaps you should encourage your sophomore daughter to explore Hillsdale College (I'm sure her father would find it a "good fit".)
This time I shall cast my vote against maximum government control. Unfortunately, that means accepting moderate government control. However, the lesser of two evils is the only choice we are offered.
Next time I shall vote for I, pencil. (If he/she shows up to run)
